This week marks the start of the chaos for the Frisco ISM Program. Upon completing the Business Symposium, we are now expected to start creating contact lists and reaching out to professionals to plan interviews. Additionally, we are now “let free” to work on our Original Work projects. As I continue my research I have determined that I am going to create some sort of informational database/home page where I can compile information regarding patterns in wrongful convictions, what causes them, a possibly acceptable rate of inevitable wrongful convictions, what can be done to reduce the amount of wrongful convictions with both reform measures and providing better defense for defendants, as well as highlighting organizations that look to do this and addressing exonerations. With so much information, I need to increase my research majorly to gain expertise across the board with this. Additionally, my website has received a complete revamp and is much better from an aesthetic and accessibility standpoint.
Goals for the coming week
This week I have much to do in order to successfully gain primary and secondary research experience towards my original work presentation. I will look to complete my contact list and begin making phone calls and reaching out to professionals. Additionally, I plan to finalize my original work presentation and have a solid idea prepared for what I am going to do. This original work project is what I am going to be working on for much of the remainder of the semester so this is a very important proposal.
