This week I have had two major invitations take place, one from myself and one from my mentor. The first one came following an interview with Mr. Young. He invited me to attend an oral argument and hearing at the Dallas Circuit Court of Appeals on April 9th. This is my first major opportunity to gain real life exposure into the legal world as I can see what a case looks like when it is being argued. I am thrilled for this opportunity and heavily looking forward to it. The second invitation was the draft for the final presentation night. This is truly setting the stage as that final night is approaching quickly. I have spent this week finishing my plan for my final project with all the information I have and it has been very successful. Additionally, I am looking even farther towards the future as over spring break I went on college tours to UC San Diego, UCLA. USC, Loyola Marymount University, UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UC Berkeley, Stanford, and UC Davis. This was a big step for me and has allowed me to close in on the colleges I am hoping to apply to.
Goals for the coming week
This week I plan to create the actual tangible website for my final project and begin designing it and transferring the information over to it. This is going to be a challenge as this is not one of my strengths and as I found with my Original Work website this is something that will take a lot of patience, creativity, and persistence. This will start in the coming week.
